SESSIONS - THE FILM
Sessions is a British drama film written by and starring Daniel O'Reilly (Dapper Laughs).
The semi-autobiographical story follows Richie, a man battling inner demons, substance abuse, and its devastating impact on his relationships and mental health. It explores "sesh culture" — the heavy drinking and party lifestyle that defined a generation of men — and its destructive grip on families, while touching on themes of hope, accountability, and recovery.
Filmed in 2025 with a strong supporting cast including Leo Gregory, Jonas Armstrong, Jamie Winstone, and Rupert Graves, the movie is a raw, heartfelt passion project from O'Reilly.
It ties closely into his own experiences with addiction that he also discusses openly on his Menace to Sobriety podcast.
Still in post-production as of mid-2025, Sessions aims to spark honest conversations about mental health and addiction.
